Recapping the latest fashion trends in u.s. 2016

So far, 2016 has proved to be quite an interesting year for fashion. While shopping for new trends has always been the norm when it comes to fashion, 2016 has shown that old pieces can still be worn albeit in fresh ways.

All it takes to pull off a classic look sometimes is a little upgrade and below, we take a look at some of the latest fashion trends in the U.S, to help you stay on top of things. Indeed, this year’s style scene has a unique look about it as you will learn.

#1. Victorian-inspired dresses:

The immortal romanticism of the Victorian era is back. Indeed, the Alexander McQueen Summer 2016 fashion show managed to single-handedly usher in a new era in the world of fashion and while at it, create an entire movement altogether.

The throwback, whimsical dresses are defined by subtle, yet classical laces and childish ruffles – similar to those you’ve seen in classic movies set in the Victorian era. With this, you can also expect bows and blouses to make a huge comeback in the near future.

#2. Exciting pins:

Bring out your playful side by wearing fun-filled attire pins, which have been currently trending especially among celebrities.
The pins not only add a sophisticated, yet playful touch to your clothing, but also bring out your lighthearted alter-ego while at it.

The best part, though, is the pins can be worn on virtually anything; from snapback hats to blazer lapels. It is a trending look that has been creating the entire buzz lately and worth noting is, there is a pin for absolutely everyone.

#3. Patchwork patterns:

The somewhat folksy style is defined by a tailor-made denim touch without feeling too plain or sloppy.

It works particularly well on boots, jeans, shirts and just about any fabric you can think of. The patchwork pattern-dressing movements are surely on an upward trajectory and by next year, expect every celebrity hitting the red carpet in one of these to feel like a winner.

#4. Baby lights:

For the longest time now, we have always wanted to have smooth and soft skin similar to that of a baby. However, most fashion-heads now certainly want baby-soft skin and hair to go along.

While brightly colored hair was the in-thing last year, most people are currently looking to get in touch with their youthful side by going for the naturally mild hair color synonymous with that of the young.

In short, baby lights are a viable way of lightening your locks without necessarily having to make a color commitment. They bear a natural feel and ultimately, leave your hair looking fresh and soft. They will go with virtually any attire in your wardrobe too!

In a nutshell, the above fashion trends should keep you ahead of the pack not only for this year, but a better part of next year as well.
